Mr. M A M Arunachalam, also known as Arun Murugappan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, USA. A senior member of the Murugappa family, he is an Industrialist and has over three decades of experience in varied industrial activities.
He is the Chairman of Cholamandalam Leasing Limited (Formerly known as Cholamandalam Home Finance Limited) & Shanthi Gears Limited, and also on the Board of various companies including Ambadi Investments Limited, AR Lakshmi Achi Trust [Section 8 Company], Cholamandalam Investment And Finance Company Limited, CG Semi Private Limited, CG Power And Industrial Solutions Limited, Mavco Investments Private Limited, Mavnu Investments Private Limited, Mavsky Enterprises Private Limited, Mavstar Investments Private Limited, New Ambadi Estates Private Limited, TI Clean Mobility Private Limited [Chairman] and TI Medical Private Limited [Chairman].
He is a Partner at Kadamane Estates Company and Murugappa & Sons and a part of Chemmancherry Estates Company (Association of Persons). He is also the Kartha of M A Murugappan HUF and M A M Arunachalam HUF & the Trustee of Arun Murugappan Children Trust, Murugappan Arunachalam Children Trust, A M M Arunachalam Trust and AMM Foundation.
J Anand - Managing Director
Mr. Jayachandran Anand, commonly known as J. Anand, is a former racing champion and a leading businessman in the Indian automotive industry. He hails from a prominent family of industrialists and engineers. He is the grandson of Mr. D. Balasundaram, a Sheffield, UK graduate who played a pivotal role in the large-scale industrialisation of Southern India, and the son of noted Indian automobile and engine designer Mr. B. Jayachandran, who developed India’s first indigenous automotive diesel engine for passenger cars in 1965 and the first indigenous tractor in 1967. Jayem carries a rich legacy spanning three generations of engineering entrepreneurs, beginning with the development of India’s first electric motor in 1939.
He is the former Co-founder of Electrodrive Powertrain Solutions (Electra EV) and Director of TIVOLT Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of TI Clean Mobility that manufactures electric Small Commercial Vehicles (SCVs). A passionate promoter of motorsport, he is the Partner of JA Motorsport, a sister concern of the Jayem Group involved in the design, manufacture, race preparation & maintenance of race and rally cars for national and international championships. He is also the Partner of JA Engineering.
Beyond business and motorsport, J. Anand serves as a Trustee of PSG Sons Charities, one of India’s leading philanthropic organisations with a legacy of over a century in advancing education, healthcare, and community service, benefiting over 35,000 students.
Devika Anand - Executive Director
A Computer Science graduate from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Ms. Devika brings a strong blend of administrative and technology expertise to the board.
She holds strategic positions across multiple organizations in addition to her role as Director at Jayem. She is Partner at JA Engineering and serves as Director of X_Design Ventures, Kushaiguda Electronics, Hyderabad, and DVK Investments, Coimbatore, reflecting her broad engagement in business and technology-led enterprises.
As Director of X_DesignVenture, she spearheaded Knowledge Process Services and Real Time Embedded Systems, where she heads a professionally managed team of top-tier engineers from reputed Indian institutions.
Nageswararao Dukkipati - Non-Executive Director
Nageswararao Dukkipati commonly known as Dr. D.N. Rao is a Post-graduate of Electrical Engineering from BITS-Pilani and holds a Ph.D from Royal College of Sciences & Technology (Now University of Strathclyde), UK. He has published original research papers in various International journals and participated in more than 20 International seminars and conferences. He is an active member in many trade associations and holds three patents jointly with VNRVJIET (Engineering College).
In 1978, he founded “Duke Arnics,” a design and manufacturing company that grew into an ISO 9001-certified Technology Development Centre with modern facilities. It became a pioneer in Electricity Metering, Monitoring, and Management Systems in India, gaining global recognition before being divested to Havells Limited in 2003. In the same year, he founded X_Design Ventures, and is presently, its Chairman. He is also Director of Magellan Life Science Pvt. Ltd., & Drive Lozics Pvt. Ltd.,
Dr. D.N. Rao is a trustee of “Nuthakki Ramaseshaiah Memorial Trust” and actively participates in its activities to create infrastructure for schools located near deprived communities.
Jalaj Gupta - Non-Executive Director
Mr. Jalaj Gupta, is an accomplished automobile professional with over three decades of experience spanning India’s diverse geographies and leading automotive organizations. His career reflects a trajectory of leadership roles, from being part of pioneering teams in passenger car initiatives to establishing and scaling light commercial vehicle businesses. His strategic vision has driven business turnarounds, market stabilization, and sustainable growth across commercial vehicle and construction equipment segments. A Fulbright Scholar with an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad, he has honed his expertise through advanced management programs at Carnegie Mellon and Kellogg. He currently serves as the Managing Director of TI Clean Mobility Private Limited and as Chairman of IPLTech Electric Private Limited and TIVOLT Electric Vehicle Private Limited.
A N Meyyappan - Non-Executive Director
Mr. AN Meyyappan is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was heading the Auto Chains business unit of the Tube Investments of India Limited and has experience heading finance at both division and corporate. He is also on Board of TI Medical Private Limited, Moshine Electric Private Limited, 3xper Innoventure Limited, 3xper Innoventure Labs Limited, TICL Brands (India) Private Limited, Kcaltech System India Private Limited.
S Gopalakrishnan - Non-Executive Director
Mr. S Gopalakrishnan is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has done his B.Com in The American College, Madurai during 1990-93. He has 25 Years of Industry experience in Auto component Industry & Consumer goods Industry. He is currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of TI Clean Mobility Private Limited and also on the Board of TIVOLT Electric Vehicles Private Limited.
