Minerock Horizontal Screen
DESIGNED, ENGINEERED & MANUFACTURED BY JAYEM AUTOMOTIVES
The Mining Screen Plant is a mobile, hybrid, horizontal, fully electrically operated straight-line screening system designed and manufactured by Jayem Automotives for high-capacity mining and bulk material operations. Engineered to handle feed sizes of up to 250 mm and material densities of up to 2.4 t/m³, the plant is capable of delivering output levels of up to 800 tonnes per hour, depending on material characteristics and screen configuration.
Built using Jayem’s heavy engineering and system integration expertise, the plant is designed to operate continuously in demanding mining environments while maintaining efficiency, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
Screening System Configuration
The plant is built around a triple-shaft horizontal screening unit with a screen size of 6.1 m × 1.83 m, designed to deliver stable straight-line motion for improved material stratification and separation efficiency. The screening unit is electrically driven and tuned for consistent performance across varying feed rates and operating conditions.
This straight-line horizontal configuration enables higher screening efficiency compared to conventional inclined systems, particularly in high-throughput applications such as coal and iron ore processing.
Material Handling & Conveyor System
Material handling within the Mining Screen Plant is managed through an integrated electrically driven conveyor system designed for smooth and controlled material flow. Feed material is handled by a heavy-duty apron shoe feeder, ensuring uniform feed to the screening unit even under high-load conditions.
Screened material is discharged through multiple conveyors sized and arranged to support efficient separation and stockpiling. Conveyor widths range from 900 mm to 1500 mm, with discharge heights of up to 4.3 m, enabling effective handling of fine, mid-size, and oversize material fractions. Hydraulic folding mechanisms allow conveyors to be compacted during transport, improving site mobility and deployment speed.
Power Architecture & Drive System
The Mining Screen Plant operates on an electric drive architecture, with all major systems—including screening and conveyors—powered electrically. Power is supplied through an on-board 180 kVA diesel generator, with provision for operation using external grid power where available.
This hybrid power approach reduces overall fuel consumption, lowers operating cost, and simplifies maintenance when compared to fully diesel-driven screening plants.
Mobility & Installation
The plant is mounted on heavy-duty crawler tracks, enabling movement across uneven and soft mining terrain while maintaining low ground pressure. This configuration allows the system to be repositioned easily within active mining sites without extensive groundwork.
Despite its high-capacity configuration and an operating weight of approximately 45 tonnes, the plant is designed with compact transport dimensions of 19.6 m × 3.2 m × 3.6 m, expanding to a working footprint of 18.85 m × 16.25 m × 4.8 m when deployed.
Engineering, Manufacturing & Validation
The Mining Screen Plant is developed using Jayem’s in-house capabilities covering system design, structural engineering, fabrication, machining, assembly, and functional validation. This integrated “art-to-part” approach ensures that each system is engineered for performance while remaining practical to manufacture, transport, and service.
All systems are validated to meet defined throughput, durability, and operational reliability targets before deployment.
