Our Battery Manufacturing Facility
Battery packs are manufactured at Jayem’s dedicated facility located in Coimbatore, spread across 12,000 square feet and designed as a semi-automated assembly line. The plant has an installed capacity of 150 MWh, with provision to scale up to 300 MWh within the same facility, supporting future program growth without infrastructure disruption.
The facility is engineered for safety, quality, and efficiency, with controlled material flow and traceability embedded across operations. Cell handling is carried out within ISO Class 7 cleanroom environments, ensuring contamination control and consistent quality. Semi-automated module and pack assembly lines are supported by bidirectional cyclers that enable simultaneous charge and discharge, reducing grid power consumption. Comprehensive End-of-Line (EOL) testing is conducted to ensure every battery pack meets defined performance and safety benchmarks before dispatch.

Battery Pack Design & Engineering
Battery pack architecture is designed to meet electrical, mechanical, thermal, and safety requirements. System design focuses on packaging efficiency, structural integrity, thermal management, and serviceability ensuring seamless integration with the vehicle platform.
Battery Management System Integration
Battery systems are integrated with automotive-grade BMS architectures, supporting cell monitoring, thermal control, safety logic, and vehicle communication. Integration is carried out to ensure stable performance across operating conditions and long service life.
Manufacturing & Assembly
Battery packs are manufactured through controlled, scalable production processes, supporting prototype builds, pilot production, and series manufacturing. Assembly processes are defined to ensure consistency, traceability, and quality across volumes.
Testing, Validation & Certification
Battery systems undergo functional, safety, and performance validation to meet automotive standards. Testing supports homologation readiness, durability validation, and production release. Automotive battery packs are developed to meet AIS and ARAI certification requirements.
Scalable & Customisable Platforms
Jayem battery systems are developed using a modular platform approach that enables efficient creation of multiple voltage and energy configurations. This approach supports faster customisation, shorter development timelines, reuse of validated platforms across programs, and a smooth transition from pilot builds to production. Depending on program scope and complexity, custom battery pack development is typically completed within six to nine months.
